The 2nd Annual Monster Mash Pumpkin Bash
November 15, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Imagine An Answer is focused on helping to find a cure for Pediatric Low-Grade Astrocytoma (PLGA), a slow growing children’s brain cancer that impacts more than 20,000 kids across the United States. The Monster Mash is the organization’s annual fundraising and awareness bash. 2016 will be the event’s second year.
The 2016 Monster Mash Pumpkin Bash to Smash Kids Cancer was held in Washington, DC on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 6:00 pm in Eastern Market’s North Hall, just a few blocks from the Capitol.
The inagural 2015 Monster Mash Pumpkin Bash was a monstrous success. Funds raised at the Monster Mash are being devoted to research on PLGA.
The inaugural Monster Mash received financial commitments of nearly $300,000 which are now directly funding research on PLGA brain cancer in the lab of Dr. Charles Eberhart at Johns Hopkins University. The event was also a tremendous step forward in raising awareness about this terrible disease. More than 35 Members of the US House and Senate from both parties participated in the first-ever Congressional pumpkin carving contest, FOX5 News provided coverage of the event, and the Archbishop of Washington, Donald Cardinal Wuerl, gave a special blessing of the event.
Every dollar we raise brings us one step closer to finding less toxic treatments and a cure.
